Pierluigi Petrali

He has been working in Whirlpool since 1989. Since 2008 he’s been coordinating, inside Whirlpool Operation Center of Excellence, the Manufacturing Technologies research group for European factories. He is delegated to represent European Operations alongside global initiatives and committee, such as Strategic Resource Relationship, Project Delivery Excellence and Advanced Manufacturing.

Prior to this assignment he led Innofridge, an industrial research project funded under Provincia Autonoma di Trento, aimed at finding new concepts to manufacture a modular refrigerator.

He introduces the TRIZ methodology in Whirlpool, fostering its diffusion in Italy. He is one of the founder of Apeiron, the Italian TRIZ association.

He is often invited as a speaker in national and international seminars to present the methodology integration (TRIZ, DFMA, 6-Sigma etc.); he co-chaired the TRIZ Future conference 2010; he is member of ETRIA active in the industrial committee of TRIZ Future conference as paper reviewer.
