Nader Akil
He graduated in physics from Reims University, France in 1995. He holds a Ph.D. (Cum Laude) in opto-electronics from Metz University, France, 1998; Research associate in the department of electrical and computer engineering at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, USA; Postdoctoral Associate at Twente University, the Netherlands .
He has gained substantial industrial experience in Micro/nano-electronics and Solar in the last 10 years with Philips, NXP Semiconductors and Photovoltech. A part of his responsibilities was devoted to Research, business development, project management in the related activities and to consultancy on related research subjects for technical, business and intellectual property departments.
Nader has proven track record in innovation management and technology transfer. His main activities within PNO are to support European organisations in implementing their innovation strategies and in project initiation and management.
He has 13 international patents and 50 scientific papers published in world-class journals and conferences.
He is a member of the Management Board of the FORMAT project.
